Attorney Allenston M. Sheridan, Jr. is a partner at Diana, Conti, Tunila, Sheridan & McCann, LLP. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. He graduated from Massachusetts School of Law and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar within the same year. Additionally, Attorney Sheridan is a proud graduate of Manchester High School.
Attorney Sheridan is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and is a member of various bar associations, including the Connecticut Bar Association (and currently on the Legislative Policy Review Committee and Fair & Impartial Courts Committee), Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Hartford County Bar Association (and currently Treasurer and the co-chair of the Family Law Section), Tolland County Bar Association (and Past President of the Association), and Manchester Bar Association. His other professional organizations include Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group (and Past President), Connecticut Coalition for Non-Adversarial Divorce, Connecticut Bar Foundation, and Connecticut Client Security Fund Committee.
Attorney Sheridan serves as a Special Master for pretrials regarding cases with financial disputes in the Rockville and Hartford Judicial Districts for Family Court matters. He also serves as a Foreclosure Committee for Civil Court matters. His practice is primarily Family Law and Domestic Relations in Superior Court and Probate Court, which includes guardianship and adoption and collaborative and mediated divorce matters, as well as fully litigated cases regarding finances and child custody issues.
Attorney Sheridan’s resume also includes local and state-wide voluntary work. He is a Black Belt in Taekwondo and is a martial arts instructor for the Taekwondo and cardio kickboxing programs at the Manchester-based Academy of Martial Arts and Personal Development. He frequently judges the Connecticut Civics First Mock Trial Competition for middle and high school students. Attorney Sheridan participates as a panelist for Manchester High School’s annual career panel of professionals and the high school’s mock interview program, and both help set students up for successful paths post high school. He is also a member of the Bartlett Family Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee of the Hartford Foundation of Public Giving, which awards scholarships to high school students pursuing undergraduate degrees..
