Attorney Adam J. Teller is a partner of Diana, Conti, Tunila, Sheridan & McCann, LLP. His practice includes collaborative divorce and divorce mediation as well as fully litigated matters and appeals; he also practices in the areas of probate law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense. Attorney Teller is trained as a mediator, collaborative divorce practitioner, and guardian ad litem/attorney for minor child and has accepted appointments as a GAL in Hartford and Tolland family courts as well as the probate courts. As an attorney who has built his career helping people in crisis, he believes that families are best served when divorcing spouses use the collaborative process to craft the future that they have chosen, rather than having the courts or others choose a future for them.

Attorney Teller received his undergraduate degree in Engineering & Applied Sciences summa cum laude from Harvard University, and his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School. Immediately after law school and before entering private practice, he served as law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Peter C. Dorsey, and then as a public defender in the Connecticut courts. He is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bars, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Districts of Connecticut and Massachusetts as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He serves as a Special Master in the Hartford Judicial District, and has previously been a Special Master in the U.S. District Court. He is a member of various bar associations, including the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Hartford County Bar Association, Tolland County Bar Association, and Manchester Bar Association.

Attorney Teller has served in the past as the Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission and as a Selectman in his home town of Bolton. He is married with two adult children.
